There are a lot of ways you can do this, but the easiest method is within Studio itself. It goes like this:
| When your film is finished (clips, sound effects, music, etc.). |
Steps to be followed with :
- Click on ‘Make Movie’;
- Select "AVI";
- Then click "Settings".
In the panel settings:
Take away the tick mark at ‘Include Video’ and click on the green button ‘Create avi-file’ on the screenshot above. |

| In the dialog–screen that follows, change the extension in the file-name from .avi to .wav. |
- Click on ‘Make Movie’;
- From the drop "File type", select "AVI";
- from the drop "Preset" select" "Custom" and then click "Settings"

In the panel settings :
Take away the tic at ‘Include Video’ and click on the green button ‘Create file’ in the screenshot above. |
| In the dialog–screen that follows, agree to the extension proposed by Studio. |

- The improvement made in Studio 12, 14 and 15 is that you can directly select "Audio" in the dropdown "Preset" when creating the film.
- You only have to choose between one of the 4 presets or select the item "Custom" if you are even more demanding.
When you have edited this wave-file in the wave-editor, you can place it back on the time-line via Studio-Album. Lock the video-track, remove the synchroneous audio-track and replace it with the edited wave-file.
Text adapted to the releases of Studio 10 to 15.

Don't forget that in S15 (and I think S14) if you use markers on the timeline you can select to make an audio file between markers or from the start to a marker or from a marker to the end of the timeline, great for working on voiceover tracks ! |
