You will learn how to create a personal menu with an animated background (or without), with music (or without) and you will learn how to save it for later use.

STEP 1

You need to prepare your background with audio and save it :

1. Open a new project in Studio, select the image or video you want for the animated menu.
2. Adjust it to the desired length (~1 minute is a good time)
3. Include the music (scorefitter ©, smartsound © or part of a piece of music)
4. Render it as an DV/AVI in full screen and save it under a name like My-Background-Menu.

STEP 2

When your movie is edited and finished, display the Studio menu album by clicking on View Menus; drop a standard menu onto the timeline.

Open the Title editor, by clicking on Edit Menu

and in backgrounds, browse backgrounds, locate the folder where you saved the previously rendered video with your animated background and sound that you just created. This one will be inserted and merged in place of the Standard Menu.

Then you can change the title, buttons, enter the names of chapters etc ... Here is an example

STEP 3

1. Now that the menu is finalized, titles changed, and chapters added, you can save it.

In the title editor (edit menu tool), click on File and Save Menu as xxxx (give it a name)

 

Your personalized menu will be saved in Pinnacle\Studio 12\Menus\My menus (or Pinnacle\Studio 11 or 10\Menus\My menus) under the name you have just given it; when you open Studio again, by clicking on the View menus tab, you will find it under Standard Menus, in the folder My menu (you can work on it later or use it as it is).

4. You can also save your menu in the directory of your choice by using the File menu - Save As... but you must remember the path to retrieve it later.
