Movie in black and white, showing only one color

This tutorial created for Pinnacle Studio can also be done with Avid Studio with a few adjustments. These adjustments are shown in bold italics: "If you use Avid Studio {...}"

This "tip & trick" allow to keep only one color into your clip. This movie gives you an overview of the result (click on the image to activate the movie):

To do this trick, insert a plugin called "One Color", from "Bravo Studio Pack 1" category (if it is not there, install it from your DVD Bonus Content - to remove the watermark, buy the unlock at Pinnacle Shop). Adjust the cursors to your feeling, and watch the result

Screen capture give you the basis of the trick. Plugin Bravo Studio Pack 1 - One colour

Otherwise, you can also watch this "tip & trick" with the video below (click on play icon):

This tip and trick can also be saved on your hard disk to be listened to offline. The file is an executable type, which does not necessitate any other tools to be played. "You can download the file "selective_coloring.zip" available in the « Associated Link(s) » section below.

If you use Avid Studio :

First the good news: you will not need to purchase an additional plugin because this plugin is included in Avid Studio.
The bad news...there is none.

 The time line of AVID Studio
  1. Place your video or image on a Avid Studio track;
  2. Right click on the media and select "Open Effects Editor" in the context menu or simply double-click on video or image to open the effects editor.
 The editor effects
  1. The Effects Editor opens on the "Effects" tab, just what we want;
  2. Click on number 3, "Color";
  3. Select the "Image Correction CPU" effect (6th from the left).
 Only the blue color is
  1. Change the setting for selective saturation (here I have kept the color "Cyan" at 100, the others are at -100);
  2. You immediately see the results of your settings in the preview window.

Multiple possibilities: your child is following someone with a wonderful flower in hand, only the flower is "illuminated"...

Hello Graham,

This tutorial is a very old one. It's just that Papy re-adapt it to AVID Studio and we re-publish it with a new publication date, that's all...
;-)

Regarding the narration, there is a stop button below the video, just click on it to stop my voice !!! Lol...
